Staff tries hard, as always, to make you happy gamblers, but comps are gone, $10 tables are gone, dining choice is gone. It is just inconvenient to have to cross back and forth.
The 2 casinos are linked now, so your money all goes into same pocket. This a sure losing proposition and is driving players across the river to ElDorado for 3 to 2 tables of hand shuffle games and shoe games. Blackjack has morphed into continuous shuffling machines all at 6 to 5 odds on BJ tables. The Casino is understaffed with not enough tables open. But, at least they have started some room service now. And the restaurants are closed or reduced hours. Still no in room coffee, no valet parking, which is a problem for a gimpy senior who does not like having to drag in and out of parking structure alone. First, the rooms show their age with stained carpet and furniture, and loose tiles in bath(room 1518). Last weekend's visit was quite a step down for the once regal hotel/casino. The Horseshoe has not come through the pandemic well.
